Eau et Société
This multidisciplinary training provides tools that allow us to distinguish between what is imposed by the physical object "water" and what is built by society.
Presentation and objectives
The training is based on theoretical lessons centered on the water-society relationship in the countries of the North and the South (s), practical exercises to confront the students with concrete problems and two professionalizing internships. It is part of the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).
Areas of knowledge concerning:
- governance systems and territorial issues of water management
- water legislation
- evaluation of management systems and public water policies
- management tools for economic regulation
- groundwater management
- environmental impact study methods
- participation engineering
- the sociology of socio-technical controversies related to water
Terms of access
Master 1:
L3 social sciences, or in environmental sciences with a proven appetite for economics, sociology, political science, human geography or environmental law.
Master 2 (admission on file):
- validated M1 level, in engineering school or university
- priority access to students who have successfully completed the M1 of the Water Master, Water and Society course.
Applications for both M1 and M2 must be made through the registration sites of AgroParisTech, the Agro Institute or the Faculty of Sciences. For foreign candidates, a minimum level C1 CEFR certificate in French is required.
